The German Law Enforcement Agency was looking for a typographical solution to enhance readability and reduce ambiguity amongst letter shapes for their internal information system. Multiple typefaces were analyzed and checked against the briefing. FF Milo by Mike Abbink was picked as a starting point for a modification according to the DIN 1450 which suggests modifications of certain letter shapes for better readability and less ambiguity. The project was carried out at the Monotype office in Berlin.
